Mark Saenger currently resides and maintains a studio in
NJ. All his paintings have a common thread. His inspiration comes
from Nature itself. He strives to use minimal brushstrokes to convey the
illusion of detail while his use of color, light, and shadows makes the viewer
emote the feeling portrayed in the work.
Mark Saenger received his art education from Matt Smith of
AZ, Scott Christensen of WY, Michael Karas of ME and worked under the tutelage
of John Phillip Osborne of NJ.
Saenger has been conducting painting workshops throughout the NJ, NY,
PA area since 1995. His art work was selected for the HBO show "The
Sopranos" for the 2001 season and has been featured on the cover of
regional newspapers. He is a member of the Westfield Art Association and
the Ridgewood Art Association. He continues to emerge as a plein air
artist with the respect and friendship of his peers and mentors in the art
world.
